HybridFire

Why HybridFire?

  • High fire chamber temperatures are transferred into the water (to heat your home) - not into the outside air.
  • At these high temperatures, you have very little smoke (this is good).
  • Cord wood is transformed into charcoal due to the HybridFire design; thereby, exhausting the wood's moisture in the form of steam leaving "charcoal" giving you the most heat available.
  • Burn less wood, get more heat! A properly sized HybridFire will give you 12 to 30 hours of burn time.
  • The HybridFire is so efficient that ash clean out is reduced to once or twice a season!
  • The best choice for home owners with busy schedules.

What is HybridFire?

To understand the HybridFire, one needs to understand the basic outside furnace.  Most all outside furnaces are in the basic grouping.  They heat homes but at what effort?  Most of the heat and smoke (smoke is unburned gas) is wasted.  These basic furnaces use lots of wood and homeowners clean out ashes every few days to every few weeks.

The HybridFire is future technology today.  The HybridFire shares some kinship to a “crossdraft gasifier” where air enters into the combustion chamber at a high velocity through a single nozzle and induces tremendous circulation. This air flow moves through the fuel wood and charcoal producing high temperatures in a small area (up to 1,300º F in the fire bed.  During full combustion, fire chamber temperatures reach over 1,100º F, yet stack temperatures are under 200º F at the chimney.
