Economical Design

Proven Technology
Heat transfer tubes in the hottest part of the fire and a damper tray to promote secondary combustion have been around for years. This furnace is a proven workhorse.

Simple Design
This simple design has been around for many, many years. We have perfected it over that time and it is a solid performer for warmer climates and smaller homes.

Low Maintenance
Just clean out the ashes once a month, check your water quality every year and you are good-to-go. Really no significant maintenance required.

Solid Features
We don’t skimp on the furnace to make it cheaper. We use the same high quality powder coat, boiler plate steel, and simple controls used on our performance furnaces.

Durable Construction

1/4" Boiler Plate Construction.
Hefty, hefty, hefty. Thicker is better when it comes to structural integrity and stove longevity. We have seen stoves built with as thin as 16 ga. metal – about the same as 10 sheets of copy paper! 10 ga. is better, but it is still nearly HALF as thick as ours. Technically, it also makes the welding better since we can use higher “heat” and get better “penetration.”

Round Fire Box and Water Jacket.
Round is simple and strong. Our cylindrical firebox and water jacket design means fewer weld seams than a square box design. The shape also decreases the possibility of ash and moisture buildup in the corners of the firebox that can cause corrosion. The self cleaning design of the water jacket prevents corrosion and minimizes sludge buildup.

Extra Large, Waist High Loading Door
The size and height of the door makes loading the stove incredibly convenient. We also feature wrench adjustable door hinges (no need for a sledge hammer), an advanced air-cooled / combustion-air-pre-heating door design, and a field replaceable non-stick air tight door gasket. For safety, we have a two stage anti-blowback door latch – just in case.

Fabricated Structural Base with Legs.
No wimpy little spindly legs here. Our fabricated structural tubing base with heavy gauge formed legs provides the best foundation in the business. We also go to the trouble of powder coating the entire base to minimize corrosion from the ground up.

Operation Features

Simple Controls.
Simple, simple, simple. Our automatic controls for furnace operation include a robust, non-electronic water temperature sensing aquastat, temperature gauge (in a thermowell), water level indicator (with an easy to see floating ball) and a switch for the convenience light. The high temperature limit switch is also located in the control box for easy access – if you ever need to reset it.

Forced Draft Combustion Blower.
You’ve hot to have air to have a fire! Our forced draft combustion blower system gets you more heat, a faster recovery time and much less smoke than natural draft units.

Thermostatically Controlled Automatic Draft Damper.
We are in control. The automatic damper provides a positive shutoff to the combustion air going to the fire, producing less creosote and reducing wood usage.

Non-Pressurized For Safety.
The insurance companies love this one. The beauty of an outdoor furnace is its inherent safety – no risk of burning your house down. By making the water portion of the stove completely non-pressurized, we totally eliminate the possibility of ruptures or explosions.

Exterior Structure

Attractive Barn Shed Housing.
As you can see, the stove looks fabulous. We feature great fit-and-finish, a heavy gauge powder coated metal roof and trim, and durable good-looking metal siding.

R-20 Fiberglass Insulation.
Don’t waste energy with less insulation. The R-20 fiberglass batting prevents heat loss while allowing the furnace to "breathe" without corroding.

Powder Coated.
It is worth repeating – powder coating makes a beautiful stove. It is more expensive than wet paint others use (especially when you don’t put much on to begin with), but it is just plain better for the customer. We decided to use a matte black finish that is forgiving in manufacturing and in the field.

Insulated Chimney.
Of course we have an insulated chimney! Our stainless steel Class A insulated chimney reduces maintenance and easily accepts extensions if you need one.
